Big things are happening in the town of Wilson. The sleepy Delta town with a population of 900 has seen a transformation with the addition of arts, culture, education, and agri-tourism. With its fields of flowers, parks, and animals grazing the countryside, it’s no wonder businessman Gaylon Lawrence Jr. and his wife Lisa fell in love with this town and purchased thousands of acres from Lee Wilson & Co. in 2010 in hopes of creating something truly unique.
Founded in 1886 by Robert E. Lee Wilson, the Delta town has a rich history as a cotton empire. Now Lawrence is looking forward to the future of Wilson becoming a well-known travel destination as well as a place people want to live and raise a family. Just forty-five minutes outside of Memphis, Wilson piques interest with its upscale shops, café, private school, museum, and countryside. With all it has to offer and what is yet to come, Wilson prides itself on having a little bit of everything for everyone.
